In-Person Medical Education Opportunities
Boston Scientific CRM conducts in-person programs in a variety of locations across the United States. These programs provide Physicians and Allied Health Professionals with access to key opinion leaders and locally, nationally, and internationally renowned faculty who share their knowledge on the latest in cardiology and electrophysiology as well as safe and effective use of Boston Scientific products.
Lecture-Based Learning
These programs highlight the current state of scientific knowledge for physicians who care for and manage patients with arrhythmias and heart failure. Nationally recognized faculty discuss advances in the management of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, risk stratification for sudden cardiac arrest, and strategies for heart failure management. Attendees have the opportunity to discuss CRM case studies with faculty in an interactive forum.
Skills-based Hands-on Training
- Institute for Therapy Advancement: State-of-the-art training facility that offers opportunities for physicians to acquire or refresh implant and management skills in the use of Boston Scientific (BSC) arrhythmia and heart failure products, and also in the utilization of BSC EP diagnostic and ablation products. The Institute provides exceptional learning experiences through interactive, small-group discussion led by expert faculty, as well as in-depth, hands-on training in a variety of lab settings. These include a virtual reality simulator lab, a cath/EP lab, and a technology applications lab with device programmer systems and heart failure model equipment. Programs are available for cardiology and EP fellows, as well as practicing physicians caring for patients who may be treated by therapies from BSC products.
- Implant Training Programs: Hands-on training centers are located throughout the country. These programs are designed to provide you an opportunity to observe and participate in implants under the direct supervision of EP physician instructors. The instructor provides didactic instruction on patient selection and preparation, implant steps, lead and device selection, patient management, follow-up, and troubleshooting techniques. Programs are available to implanting physicians with a focus on either pacemaker or LV lead implantation using BSC products.
